Why did you start practicing yoga?
I started yoga in an attempt to stay fit physically and mentally. Yoga has this beautiful centering effect which helps me stay grounded and offers me the opportunity to stay healthy and fit.

What kind of yoga sessions do you practise, eg, online, in a studio or personal zoom or personal in-person.
I like to have a mix of face to face classes in a studio as well as online classes through interactive zoom sessions.

How has yoga benefited you?
Practicing Iyengar yoga with Aparajita has helped me become more attuned to the alignment of my body. It has encouraged me to disengage from my thoughts, focus on my breathing and pauses, and remain in the present moment during class. Practicing yoga has also strengthened my muscles and improved my posture, which in turn relieved my chronic shoulder and neck pains.

Why do particular reason you like practising with me?
It is such a pleasure to see Aparajita’s passion for yoga shining through her classes. What also draws me to her classes is her dedication to her practice. She is constantly improving her skills through teacher trainings and she regularly introduces new elements in her classes for her students’ benefits. Aparajita is an expert at multi-level processing and seamlessly attends to each student’s needs, remembering their vulnerabilities and suggesting alternative poses throughout the classes, all while providing in-depth explanations of the meaning and benefits of each pause. She is even able to maintain a similar rigorousness in her attention to detail in her online classes, and she can discern the slightest changes in body alignment on the screen. Aparajita radiates passion, peace, and commitment. This in turn has created a sense of belonging and community in her well-rounded classes which foster both physical and emotional well-being. It’s a pure delight to be a part of Aparajita’s yoga classes!
